Hi, my name is Arnie Castelle. And I invented the bottoms up harness. It's a simple apparatus to help your dog who is having problems with its rear legs. It consists of two leg loops, a short handle, a detachable handle, and a connector to the collar. Here's how it works. Each leg loop goes under up and over each leg. It's then adjusted for a proper fit. A snug fit is better. The tail goes underneath the leg loop connector. This will leave the small handle right above the tail bone. The connector to the collar is then attached. Adjustments to tighten this should be done with the dog lying on the ground. Having it slightly tighter, but not choking the dog, is better. When the dog then stands, the proper tension will be there. You are to stand even with the rear legs of the dog. When you start to pull up, the pull must be at a 90 degree angle from the tail bone. It should be perpendicular up from the ground. Once more, just remember, for any dog out there that needs assistance with its back legs, the bottoms up harness.
