Wholehearted Food,

Wholehearted Food,

At Wholehearted, we're a family of pet lovers. They share our offices, our bed, our snuggles, and our struggles. My name's Kendra, and this is Gus. He's a 3-year-old chihuahua mix. And we've been together for about three years. After about six months of being together, I just couldn't let him go and adopted him on Valentine's Day. I'm Heidi. And I'm Michael. And this is Roscoe. Roscoe came to us about two years ago. We adopted him. And actually, he adopted us. I'm Curtis. And this is Jessie, our eight-year-old Golden Retriever. And I'm Kelly. And this is Willie, a year and a half old Boston Terrier. Hi, I'm Jamie. And this is Norman. And he's a 12-year-old Yorkie. And he loves to ride on scooters. Hi, my name is Kristen. And this is Rhino. He is a one-year-old de Bordeaux. And he is my best friend. When we formulated Wholehearted, we set out to create recipes that would bring out the best in our best companions. Gus is sort of my adventure buddy. We do everything together, and literally everything from coffee to hikes to dinner. So nutrition is actually really important for Gus. Gus is a tripod. So he's balancing weight between three legs versus four legs like most dogs. So we really focus on food that will give him glucosamine and all those nutrients that he needs for strong bones. He's my little athlete. He's my running buddy. We wake up about four days a week and we go running together before work. I snuck him into the movies once. He was terrible. Don't do it. So when I first moved to San Diego in 2005, I moved from Japan. And so I didn't have a cell phone. So I went to the mall to go get a cell phone. And I saw Norman. So he looked at me, and I looked at him. And he was like, you need to take me home. So I didn't have a job or an apartment, but I had a dog. And he's been with me ever since. He picked me out actually. I went into the backyard, and Jessie just kept following me around all over the place and jumped on my lap. And I said, that's my boy. He has impacted our relationship because he's our baby. We didn't have children. We met later in life, and we knew we wanted to have children, but we couldn't. And so we got him. And he turned us into a family, not a couple. Tell us how Rhino has impacted your life. I'm going to cry. You know, all through high school I was an outcast. I was really depressed. And just having him and Red in my life and having someone to cry to and talk to was the best thing I could ever have. Because meal time is so much more than filling our pets bowls, it's growing joyful moments together. After all, pets make our hearts whole. Do you want to hear him talk? [BARKING] [MUSIC PLAYING]
