Let's chat a little bit about some Halloween safety tips for you and your dog. Many times, our dogs really love when guests come over, but remember, it's Halloween. You're going to have ghosts, goblins, zombies, even some Ninja Turtles at the door. That can stress even the most friendly dog. It's very normal. If you're sure that your dog is able to come with you to answer the door, put him on a leash. That way they can greet all of the little ghosts and goblins at the door, and then you can give out candy, bring your dog back in, and reward for good behavior. If your dog is stressed around other people, lots of commotion, fast moving children, that's OK too. Put him in the back part of a quiet room in your house and give them maybe a food stuffed toy and keep them very occupied. Put lots of scrumptious yummy items in there. And maybe, put some soft music in the back, so they can't hear the door bell ringing. And then, you can go and let your dog out afterwards. All the festivities is over. Oh, don't forget. Make sure your puppy does not get into the Halloween trick or treat candy. That's for the Ninja Turtles, not for the puppies. Happy Halloween.
